Private Counselling & Art Therapy
AMY ANGHELUTA, MCAT, CCC
Amy has been practising as a counsellor and art therapist for the past 13 years. Seven years ago she moved to Golden, BC and has been privileged enough to call this awesome mountain town her home. In her spare time, she loves exploring the valley with her family, making art and skiing.
She believes everyone has a natural tendency toward healing and everything we do is meant to take us in that direction. Sometimes that means we outgrow the strategies that once served us and are invited to explore new ways forward that are in better alignment with our core values and current needs. At first, the shifts we make might seem microscopic but in the grand scheme of things even tiny shifts can lead to meaningful change.
She offers general counselling to adults 19+ and has a special interest in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional regulation and creativity, death and dying, grief and loss, serious illness, chronic illness, chronic pain, and life transitions.
Amy has specialized training in Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, HeartMath and is currently completing an ADHD Practitioner certificate and is currently studying Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training through the Somatic Experiencing Institute.
